National Youth Sports Program
This four-week summer program combines fitness, fun and learning for all children, ages 8-15.
WVU Lifetime Activities Program
Summer sports classes for kids and adults, as well as certification courses in CPR & First Aid, Scuba Diving and Water Safety.

A one-week professional theatre training program for young actors who wish to develop their skills. Includes the Young Academy (ages 7-11) and the Teen Academy (ages 12-18).

Intersection of Jazz & Classical Music Piano Festival, June 1-3
The only festival of its kind to explore jazz and classical music, with visiting artists, workshops, concerts, panel discussions and more. Also featuring jazz & classical piano competitions.
Older Members Conference, WVU Jackson’s Mill, June 17-23
4-H members who are ages 14 and above develop leadership through discussions of timely issues and problems. They take part in workshops to learn new skills that can be used in local clubs and communities.

Visual Arts Summer Academy, June 24-29
This community-based program for students in grades 7-12 introduces participants to visual arts programs at the university level and helps them expand their artistic skills.

Summer Dance Academy, June 24-30
Week-long event includes daily instruction in a variety of dance styles for students in the Young Academy (ages 5-11), Teen Academy (12-18) and dance educators.

Mountaineer Media Camp, June 25-27
This year’s camp is for high school students interested in sports and adventure journalism and media. Students will put their adventure video skills in action through a variety of hands-on activities.

WV high school & middle school students will learn about the many careers in business and industry, participating in workshops and team exercises to enhance their skills.

Provides 4-H members, ages 12 and up, with personal development experiences to help them build confidence to assume leadership positions.
STEM Camp, July 22-27
4-H members entering grades 7-9 in the fall participate in fun and engaging activities on the WVU campus that introduce a wide range of STEM-focused fields and careers.
West Virginia has many opportunities for youth ages 9-21 to have fun, make friends and learn at camp through WVU Extension’s 4-H program. Contact your local county office to find options in your area.
